Why holdings are not your complete IPO history

Understand the difference between a current balance and a confirmed allotment.

Reviewed 16 October 2026 · ArthaDiyo product guide

Holdings answer “what shares are in this account now?” IPO history answers “what happened to this particular application?” Both matter, but they are not interchangeable.

Do not reconstruct results from balances

Purchases, sales and other account changes can alter a balance. A missing holding does not establish that an earlier IPO application was unsuccessful.

Unavailable is different from zero

When a source cannot return a report or changes its format, the beta shows incomplete coverage. The older-history service cannot currently be read reliably in all cases. The dashboard therefore does not claim a complete automatic history.

Keep saved records clearly labeled

Use the separate saved-history register for records you enter with an official reference. Record the issue, application date, status, applied units and confirmed allotted units. Leave allotted units unknown while a result is pending.

A CSV import or manually saved record is not an automatically verified live report. Reconcile it with the official source.
